His office practice is based in the capital of healthcare, sunny Venice, Florida. Dr. Dubin attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for his B.S. in Biology. He graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine (Omaha, Nebraska) in 2000, receiving his Doctorate in medicine. he then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont, in Burlington and his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Louisiana State University Health Sciences in New Orleans, LA. He performed additional NIH supported research with Drs. Frank Greenway and William T. Cefalu at the renowned Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He is an assistant professor of clinical medicine for the Florida State University College of Medicine, Sarasota regional campus. Dr. Dubin is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinologists. His clinical interests include complicated diabetes, emerging technologies for insulin-requiring diabetics, medical and surgical obesity management, and thyroid and parathyroid/calcium disorders. On his fathers (Earl) side, it was Grandma Myrtle (nee Davis), singing her sweet gospel hymns of Tennesee Ernie Ford on her upright. It was singing Light My Fire as a toddler, in the back yard in Akron, Ohio. It was growing up listening to classic rock radio (WMMS) that made Cleveland the capital of rock and roll. Music was in his blood. His first instrument (which was supposed to be drums) turned out to be a Sears Roebuck electric guitar and a small amplifier which exploded on day 1 of usage! It was after moving to Buffalo, NY in 1978 (just missed the big one), that he started getting serious and took guitar lessons to learn his craft. He joined several high school rock bands (Cynical Blitz) playing everything from The Rolling Stones to the Doors. It was at that time, when he joined his first professional working band, Christopher Sly, a Led Zeppelin cover band who played only one infamous concert at the renowned McVans nightclub in Buffalo, NY. He soon had hopes to become an aspiring musician and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1981. It was in Las Vegas that he started working as a professional musician and played several well known supper clubs and concert venues with the duet Hall and Dubin. (pictured: The Escape Lounge. The two arts seem to join together nicely. One creating and performing for others and the other healing and providing hope. He has over 40 years of professional experience both in live performance (acoustic, electric guitar and bass guitar) as well as composition, recording and production of original music in the studio. He believes that music is the universal language that communicates through the stark differences that exist in our little world today. Music can provide the healing salve (along with the advances of modern medicine and technology that are available today). Hall and Dubin became the opening house band at the renowned Alexis Park Hotel and Resort, the first non-gaming resort in Las Vegas.
